Countertop

A project for my teenage daughters’ bathroom, we transformed an ikea double vanity by building a 2”-deep live-edge counter made of beautiful burled maple. Working together, we planed and sanded the wood to smoothness and then lacquered it with a polyurethane sealant specified for interiors. Holes were cut to accommodate plumbing for the two circular sinks before the countertop was installed and the edges caulked.
